o Sirius Satellite Radio Faces Shareholder Class Action Suits

New York -- Several groups of shareholders have filed class action
lawsuits against satellite-delivered digital radio provider Sirius
Satellite Radio, alleging the company misled investors with regard to the
launch date for its service. The company originally said it would launch
by the end of 2000, and subsequently said it would launch in early 2001.
Last month, Sirius said it would postpone the launch until 2002, and today
said it would announce an official launch date during a conference call
next Wednesday. The lawsuits claim Sirius failed to disclose pertinent
facts to investors regarding when it would be able to launch, and called
its announced schedule "impossibly ambitious." Washington, D.C.-based
rival XM Satellite Radio has already launched its services in several
areas of the country.

o Princeton Video Image Receives $2 Million Investment, CEO Steps Down

Lawrenceville, N.J. -- Princeton Video Image, a developer of virtual
advertising and imaging products, announced that it has received an
additional investment of $2 million from Presencia en Medios, the holding
company arm of recent Princeton Video acquisition Publicidad Virtual -- a
Mexican virtual ad firm. The company also announced that Publicidad
Virtual founders David Sitt and Roberto Sonabend will serve as interim
Co-CEOs while the company searches for a replacement for Dennis Wilkinson,
who resigned to pursue other opportunities. New Jersey-based Princeton
Video Image created Emmy award-winning visual effects used in TV
broadcasts such as the "virtual 1st Down line" used in NFL Football
broadcasts, as well as virtual ads inserted behind home plate during Major
League Baseball's World Series and other sports telecasts.

o Survey: Internet Penetration Rate Leveling Off

Rochester, N.Y. -- A new telephone survey conducted by Harris Interactive
indicates that the growth rate for Internet users in the U.S. has leveled
off in the past year, the first time since 1994 when the survey has not
indicated a sizable increase in a twelve-month period. The poll indicates
that 65 percent of the U.S. -- an estimated 127 million Americans -- are
online, and of that number 52 percent connect at home, 28 percent at work
and 19 percent go online at school or somewhere such as a library or cyber
cafe. The proportion of all adults online was 9 percent in 1995, rose to
30 percent by 1997, to 56 percent by 1998 and 63 percent by this time last
year, according to Harris figures. The one percentage point increase from
last year to 64 percent this year is not statistically significant.

(San Francisco) Mediabolic, a developer of software that networks consumer
entertainment devices, announced on Friday a multi-year agreement with
electronics manufacturer Pioneer, whereby Pioneer will integrate San
Francisco-based Mediabolic's technology into new entertainment products.

(Cedar Rapids, Iowa) SnapStream, a developer of software that enables PC
users with a TV tuner card to record TV shows directly to their hard
drives, announced on Friday that it will integrate Decisionmark's
electronic program guide into its software. The integration will let users
of Iowa-based SnapStream's software browse TitanTV.com's schedule of TV
programming, which is based on a user's location, to automatically record
TV shows. SnapStream's product was recently showcased by Microsoft during
the launch of that company's Windows XP operating system.

(Raleigh, N.C.) Nando Media, the interactive media division of newspaper
company The McClatchy Group, which publishes the Nando Times, announced on
Friday a subscription service for its online publication that will
eliminate pop-up and flashing banner ads on the site. "Recent trends in
Web advertising have made the medium more intrusive as readers navigate
the Internet," said James Green, president and publisher of Nando Media.
"We created this ad-free version in response to some of our readers'
requests for a news product which would feature a commercial-free
environment concentrating on just the news." The cost of the subscription
is $1 per week.

(Los Angeles) The Los Angeles Times reported on Friday on the potential
for stymied innovation in the market for set-top boxes that may be created
as a result of the merger of EchoStar and DirecTV. The two companies' home
satellites are virtually interchangeable, but because their signals are
scrambled differently, their set-top box receivers are not. The article
points out that one receiver design exists for EchoStar, while at least
five different models are available for DirecTV -- and that the combined
company may eliminate competing models.
